45 Years of preaching Islam

When studying character of prior partition "Imam Masjid", in a bird's eye view we get that he was a philosopher, "Adeeb", Poet, knew calligraphy (most of the times), knew regional languages like Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Farsi, Arabic and sometimes sansikrat etc. was well versed with Quranic language (Surf o Nahv), was an alam of Hadith and Fiqah.... and most all, a humble being to whom anyone would turn to for advice and guidance.

After 15 to 20 Years of partition, like great minds in every section of our Pakistani society, we lost most of them.

Question: Who actually replaced this personality in general?

Answer to this question, answers every dilemma of ours as a Pakistani, as a human being and Muslim. People stopped learning all those arts and knowledge which were traditionally considered  part of an "Imam Masjid"'s personality while most of the "alaam" are now just Hafiz-e-Quran who started their "career" as assistant imam in some mosque. Unfortunately we have number of real "Alams" in our society like drop in ocean.

We have criteria for being a layman in some account office who is hired to fill daily vouchers, while for being Imam masjid we don't have any merit/competition.

Pakistan has become graveyard for minorities. Today we are at the lowest when it comes to tolerance and harmony among different faiths. All these issues, in my view, are superficial. Real problem can be addressed on permanent basis only when we have laws and rules for people preaching Islam.
